HOULTS YARD, NEWCASTLE

Emily & Joe approached me after I’d shot one of their friends weddings the year before, and I couldn’t wait to see some familiar faces!! I started off with Emily at her family home in Newcastle with her parents and all her bridesmaids. Emily had the most gorgeous eucalyptus head band and bouquets with some incredibly beautiful and out of the ordinary flowers. Whilst Emily did the final touches and put her dress on, the ladies played frustration (the most amazing childhood game ever.)

I headed over to Hillsong in the heart of Newcastle and entered the room to the most awesome atmosphere. It felt like a gig or a concert, it was magic! There were screens everywhere with there names on it and SO many wonderful guests. The ceremony was pretty special with everyone up singing and there was live music from the stage. After the ceremony everyone milled around and had tea and cakes, then we headed outside to get some group shots!

Emily & Joe wanted to make the most of the incredible landscape of Newcastle and so we drove around for around hopping in and out of the vintage car to capture some shots on the fire escape, in front of the bridges, with the umbrellas (as it started raining!) & finally with the graffiti. Everything I suggested they were more than happy to try!!! 😀

We then headed to Hoults Yard where the reception was held and it was a super awesome warehouse with SO much space. There was ping pong tables, a burrito stand and cakes galore! After the speeches and when everyone was fed all the guests got down onto the dance floor and went wild, it was amazing to see so much happiness and friendship under one roof. Everyone was so inclusive and danced the night away!
